I'm a wife, homeschool mama, and follower of Christ. I'm a firm believer that there is no such thing as to many tacos, coffee is always a good idea and one more chocolate chip cookie never hurt anyone. I love cozy nights at home, snuggling my babies and often wish fall was little bit longer of a season.
As a mama I know how precious and fleeting these moments of life are. One day, you just wake up and your baby looks different. Suddenly they're less of a baby and more of a child.
I've experienced it with my own growing family and my heart yearns to stop time in its tracks and remember every tiny detail. And while I haven't found a way to stop time completely, having a photograph is like holding a sliver of time in your hands. Priceless, irreplaceable and truly the only thing that becomes more valuable as the years move on.
For me, It's about creating images that reflect authenticity and emotional connection. I understand the beauty and challenges that come with motherhood. I believe that every mother deserves to feel beautiful and appreciated, and I strive to create images that capture their unique beauty and strength.
After over a decade of serving my clients, I know how critical it is to work with a photographer who knows what they are doing and will give you a stress-free experience and beautiful photos that will make you want to buy frames and go a little crazy with the social media posts.

We followed the Lords calling. I had big plans to start my photography business there but we all know what happened next.. 2020! So it ended up being a break. time for me to step back and reevaluate how to best serve you all.
When our second little one was just 12 days old, we jumped on a plane and moved back to Idaho. We have loved returning back to the state we consider home and more than that, reconnecting with our friends and family.
While photography had always been special to me, becoming a mom changed my perspective. I now know what it's like to desperately want to stop time and capture every single moment and tiny little detail.
I ventured out and decided to try and make a career out of what I loved; to create. little did I know that 14 years later, I'd still be doing what I love for so many wonderful people.
In 2003 I started taking pictures with my brothers Minolta film camera and I fell in love. Before graduating high school, I decided to purchase my first digital camera. My creative outlet turned into one of my biggest blessings.

I was born in Oregon and lived on the coast until I was 7, so it definitely has a special place in my heart, a small feeling of home. Last spring we were able to take our babies to the beach for the first time (second for Levi, but he doesn't remember Mexico) and man, there is something magical about watching your kids experience something that you love and watching them fall in love with it too.

I have loved working with Cara. She’s done multiple sessions for me and my family. I loved how she was able to capture my family as we are in the moment. She takes a beautiful lifestyle approach to her images.
As a mama to a little girl who likes to run and hide from the camera sometimes I know it can be difficult to capture her in a photo but Cara was so patient and understanding during both of our sessions and captured us all so beautifully.
I really love the way she’s able to capture true emotions in her images that allow me to relive that moment in time. Kids grow so fast so having photos of my baby girl is so important and I’m so happy that she was the one to work with us and make us all feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Oh my gosh, we love the picture so much! I don’t even know what to say, they are so much more than I could have imagined! You captured the kid’s personalities, the dogs, Kirby and I and our love. You always do such a wonderful job, I think you really outdid yourself this time though. Thanks again so very much!!
