I'm cara
I'm a mama to two rambunctious kiddos, a homeschool mom and a proud follower of Christ. my days are filled with learning and pouring into my precious family. I'm a lover of all things cozy, and the heart behind the lens. When I'm not capturing your family's beautiful moments, you'll probably find me snuggled up with my crew, binge watching movies or battling it out in a game of Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza (my family is way to competitive, haha!). Coffee is my fuel (Maybe a bit to much, but I'm convinced it's a necessity) and if you bring me a cup, we're instant friends!
Tacos are my ultimate weakness and it's not just taco Tuesdays in our house... It's tacos any day we feel like it. Sometimes 3-4 nights a week.
and while I love staying at home snuggled up in our bubble, I dream of adventures with my family and I can't wait to explore more of this beautiful world together.
My faith Guides me in everything I do and I believe so strongly in the beauty of everyday moments. Those messy, meaningful, and truly authentic memories. I'd love to help you freeze those moments in time so you can hold on to them forever.

2022
- God called us back to Idaho
We followed the Lords calling. I had big plans to start my photography business there but we all know what happened next.. 2020! So it ended up being a break. time for me to step back and reevaluate how to best serve you all.
When our second little one was just 12 days old, we jumped on a plane and moved back to Idaho. We have loved returning back to the state we consider home and more than that, reconnecting with our friends and family.
2019

While photography had always been special to me, becoming a mom changed my perspective. I now know what it's like to desperately want to stop time and capture every single moment and tiny little detail.
2018
- i Became a mom
I ventured out and decided to try and make a career out of what I loved; to create. little did I know that 14 years later, I'd still be doing what I love for so many wonderful people.
2008
- i started my photography business
In 2003 I started taking pictures with my brothers Minolta film camera and I fell in love. Before graduating high school, I decided to purchase my first digital camera. My creative outlet turned into one of my biggest blessings.

it's always a perfect time for a good quiz, right?
Quiz time
I was born in Oregon and lived on the coast until I was 7, so it definitely has a special place in my heart, a small feeling of home. Last spring we were able to take our babies to the beach for the first time (second for Levi, but he doesn't remember Mexico) and man, there is something magical about watching your kids experience something that you love and watching them fall in love with it too.
There is something so theraputic about getting your toes in the sand.

I have loved working with Cara. She’s done multiple sessions for me and my family. I loved how she was able to capture my family as we are in the moment. She takes a beautiful lifestyle approach to her images.
As a mama to a little girl who likes to run and hide from the camera sometimes I know it can be difficult to capture her in a photo but Cara was so patient and understanding during both of our sessions and captured us all so beautifully.
I really love the way she’s able to capture true emotions in her images that allow me to relive that moment in time. Kids grow so fast so having photos of my baby girl is so important and I’m so happy that she was the one to work with us and make us all feel comfortable in front of the camera.
These pictures means everything!
