More about me
I'm Cara!
I'm a wife, mama + creative soul that loves Jesus. I drink way to much coffee, I never day no to tacos and I love road trips with my family.
I am so glad you're here and I cant wait to meet you and your precious family!
If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that my nieces and nephews have me wrapped around their little fingers — and I’m definitely okay with it! They know how to make me laugh, how to bring out the biggest smiles, and how to turn any moment into a magical one. Recently, I had the absolute joy of photographing my brother, his beautiful wife, and their four amazing kiddos in the mountains of Southern Idaho. And let me tell you, it was a session full of love, laughter, and some seriously unforgettable moments.
My brother has always been my best friend. We share so many amazing memories, and now, watching him with his own family brings me so much joy. His wife, Kamie, is an incredible mama to their kiddos — one of whom is just a month old — and it’s clear how strong their bond is. There’s something so special about capturing these early years of their family’s journey, and I felt beyond honored to document this season of life for them.
The kids were pure joy to photograph. From the moment we set foot in the mountains, they were off and running, exploring every nook and cranny they could find. There’s nothing like the energy of young children, and I love how that energy shines through in the photos. From the playful giggles as they ran through the sage brush to the tender moments between siblings, I was able to capture the essence of who they are right now. It was one of those days where the light, the scenery, and the kids’ laughter just made everything feel a little more magical.
And let’s not forget about the newest little bundle of love — just a month old and already stealing everyone’s hearts. Those tiny hands, the softest baby coos, and the way her parents gazed at her with so much love… it was impossible not to be moved. As much as I was there to capture their family as a whole, it was such a gift to freeze those early moments, where every little detail is so precious and fleeting.
I’m so grateful I get to photograph my own family. These are the moments we’ll look back on for years to come, and I’m thrilled I could be the one to document it for them. If there’s one thing I want to emphasize, it’s how important it is to document these seasons of life — whether it’s the giggles, the snuggles, or the quiet moments. They go by so fast, and having those memories to look back on is priceless.
I absolutely love what I do, but when it’s my own family, it hits a little differently. There’s no better feeling than capturing the love and connection between these people who mean the world to me. I’m so thankful for them and for the opportunity to preserve these moments.
If you’ve made it this far, through all of my emotional blubbering, thank you.
Sit back, enjoy the scroll. <3
Thank you for hanging out!
-Cara
